Since 1999 until today!
The love for coffee was the reason it all begun in 1999, in Patras. 2006 was a milestone as we decided to set up our own coffee processing unit by investing in equipment and know-how. In 2009, with the empowerment of the team, we decided to set the goals very high and envisioned something completely fresh, innovative and original; creating a new experience for quality coffee-on-the-go.
Wanting to give consumers a complete coffee experience, we re-established ourselves, re-designing our corporate identity (rebranding) in 2013, while remaining true to our existing dynamics.
Since then, our goals, plans and strategy have changed, but our vision and values remain unaltered. Today, the public's response is translated into numbers. It is enough to think that our network lists more than 400 stores in Greece and abroad.
By the end of 2016, the Coffee Island family grew even more, going even abroad. With Knowledge, Engagement and Love, one more coffee grinder was added to our team in London in the UK's most competitive market! In May 2017, the company expanded to the Canadian market by opening its first store in Toronto.
Responding to the demands of our consumers and partners, we have adopted a new identity (redesign of logo and packaging), modern communication profile and new architectural style in our stores. Our successful collaboration with the world-renowned architectural office Kourkoula-Kokkinou turned Coffee Island into welcoming meeting places.
Key milestones of our journey
2009 We become active abroad with the opening of the first Coffee Island store in Nicosia. Within three years we have managed to create a strong branch network in Cyprus, which is continuously expanding, numbering 49 stores until now.
2010 We totally renovate our stores and incorporate coffee-on the-go services, adopting the current concept that combines the warmth of a traditional coffee shop with the atmosphere of a modern espresso bar. This innovative shift in our course has satisfied the current needs of our customers, who deeply appreciate our dedication to excellence.
2012 We establish two ultra-modern units for processing and packaging coffee in the area of Patras and expand our warehouse facilities. Investing in engineering equipment gives us the opportunity to ensure the best quality under the given increase in production, resulting from the continuous growth of our branch network.
2013 – 2014 We keep growing, constantly expanding our network.
2016 We enter the United Kingdom market by launching our first ever Coffee shop in London
2017 We expand in Canada, opening our first store in Toronto.
