Microfarm Project Brazil Ametista
A coffee with a grand name

It originates in Brazil and has roots in Ancient Greece. Brazil Ametista was named after amethyst, a precious purple stone. The origins of its name are associated with various myths, most reaching the same conclusion: amethyst was the stone that protected against drunkenness. In fact, people used to decorate wine cups with this precious purple stone, believing they would avoid getting drunk.

We, on the other hand, were quite eager on getting “drunk” with complex aromas and caramel notes, dry nuts and milk chocolate that get released as beans get roasted and extracted.

A Limited-Edition Coffee

In the Alta Mogiana region of Sao Paulo, almost above the Tropic of Capricorn, the conditions were ripe for us to sow and cultivate the seeds of our labor. There, at the Coffee Island farm, we allocated a small plot of land in order to create a unique coffee. And so, with passion and patience, Brazil Ametista came to life. As with each Microfarm Project, we produced a special coffee range, available in our stores for a limited time.

So, what makes this coffee so special? It originates from our farm and has been cultivated by our people. Plus, we didn’t just discover this specialty limited-edition coffee, we created it.

Each Microfarm Project is known for its uniqueness and authenticity. Brazil Ametista is a coffee with a mild aroma, rich body and pleasant sweetness. It couldn’t be a better match with amethyst; a symbol of happiness, balance and wealth.

It releases deep aromas and its taste can sway even the toughest critic. At least that’s how we felt when trying this single-origin coffee!

It’s a 100% Arabica coffee, which gets to our Coffee Roasters through Direct Trade, so you too can enjoy a specialty coffee with exceptional flavor.
